This is my entry for 's contest [link] . The theme is Black and White vs. Color.
When I read the objective of the contest this idea came to mind. The question of, which side would win, was asked, and in this picture Black and White is currently winning, but that doesn't mean Color will just sit back and take it. Anywho, Black and White is represented by the little girl, who is stealing the color from the landscape and keeping it in her lantern. If she can't be colorful, then no one can.
When I first saw it in thumbnail form, I was really amazed! O.O It looks so aesthetic, even as a thumbnail <3 The color and B/W in the picture are both equally as detailed with different strokes; and I think you did a good job with interpreting and creating a story for the theme!! ^__^
This is very masterfully done; with the swirls of color; the blends, and the way the color sort of melts into the latern ^__^ It's a very neat idea, with a unique way of representation <3 I really like the idea of a little girl being envious and trapping the color within a lantern. It's very original <3
